Direct to Film transfer (DTF), is a full color design printed onto a special film and then heat-pressed onto various materials, including cotton, polyester, and blends, and can be used on both light and dark colored fabrics.

Step by Step Process

Step 1 - Printing on Film

A special printer (often an inkjet printer) is used to print the desired design onto a PET film (polyethylene terephthalate).

Step 2 - Adhesive Powder

After printing, a layer of hot-melt adhesive powder is applied to the printed film.

Step 3 - Heat Pressing

The film, with the design and adhesive powder, is then placed onto the fabric or substrate and heat-pressed.

Step 4 - Transfer

The heat and pressure cause the adhesive powder to melt and bond the printed image to the fabric, creating a transfer print.

Artwork Requirements:

All artwork should be print-ready in PNG format with a transparent background.

300 DPI resolution is suggested for high-quality prints.

Please ensure that your background is 100% transparent. We will not remove the background for you.

Designs will be printed the way they were sent.

Max Print Size is 22" wide x 36" tall = 1 gang sheet
